We’ve been working hard with our partners to make it easier and cheaper for you to reduce your impact on the climate. The millions of actions you’ve taken this year have saved a whopping £100million off household bills and helped reduce CO2 emissions by ½ million tonnes – the same as taking 195,000 cars off the road!

It just goes to show how small, simple actions really do add up to big things. You might be surprised to learn how big the difference can be for your household – take a look at our new Saver’s Guide to see how much you could save.

To celebrate turning 1, we’ve made a very special film with the help of a few of the people that make Together what it is – watch it on this page. We’re also welcoming some big new partners to the campaign and launching lots of new easy ways to do your bit.

New easy things you can do

B&Q are working in partnership with British Gas to offer free installed insulation to the over 70s and people on disability and income related benefits.

Barclaycard are enhancing their Breathe card to help holders make their homes energy efficient in addition to their current public transport offers.

British Gas are launching a new Generation Green schools programme which will incentivise pupils and their communities to adopt greener living and reward schools with green prizes.

M&S are broadening their Wash at 30˚C campaign to involve other aspects of clothing care.

National Express are offering free first class rail tickets to people who have booked a flight between Edinburgh and London in May to encourage people to make the switch.

O2 are continuing to offer incentives to existing and new customers to keep hold of handsets when renewing or switching contracts.

RSA have launched More Than Green Wheels, an innovative ‘black box’ car insurance which helps you drive greener and save fuel. They are also launching a new insurance product with The National Trust that rewards people for having more energy efficient vehicles and homes.

Sky are continuing the roll out of their auto standby function to set top boxes which puts them to sleep when they’re not in use.

Tesco are introducing a Home Insulation Service for lofts and wall cavities. They will also continue to make energy-saving bulbs even cheaper and easier to get hold of.
